IDI HQ Chanhassen, MN — August 18, 2026 — Insulation Distributors Inc. (IDI) has acquired The Foam Stop, a spray foam distributor based in Lanesville, Indiana. With the acquisition, founder Chris Camenisch joins IDI's Heartland team, bringing over a decade of hands-on spray foam experience to contractors across Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Kentucky.
A Spray Foam Guy, Through and Through
Chris Camenisch built his reputation behind the spray foam gun. He created his own rigs and drove to jobsites to diagnose problems his contractors encountered.
Since entering the insulation industry in 2012, Chris has been the person contractors call when something isn't working. He became a UPC Foam dealer in 2021 while continuing to operate as a spray foam contractor himself, a combination that gave him a level of product and application knowledge most reps simply don't have.
He also built a following through Facebook and the Spray Foam Worldwide community, sharing real-world knowledge, troubleshooting problems, and helping fellow contractors get better at their jobs.
