Full-face cartridge respirators are perfect for the team assisting during a spray job. Although the sprayer should use a fresh air supply, cartridge respirators are perfectly safe for everyone else involved in the project, depending on ventilation and vicinity to the sprayer. The comfort, fit, and reliability of these industrial respirator masks ensure you can work on your project without being distracted, which boosts productivity.

  • Dependable & convenient protection
  • Offers easy breathing, comfort, and durability
  • Fit test/health card required

Our cartridge respirator masks use NIOSH approved P100 cartridges, which protect the wearer against VOC and particulate.

Brands Available:

  • North by Honeywell
  • 3M

Safety note: Cartridges must be changed out every 8 hours to ensure safety. Store the respirator in a sealed bag when it is not in use.

These respirators are reusable respirators to meet the needs of the work environment. Half or full facepiece reusable respirators help protect against both particles and/or gases and vapors. With these respirators, you always use organic vapor/particulate (P100) cartridges when you are around SPF. There are different kinds of cartridges for different kinds of gases and vapors so speak with your local IDI location for info on what you will need based on the job requirements.

Brands Available:

  • North by Honeywell

Supplied Air Respirator (SAR) systems provide a continuous flow of clean air to the hood or mask you’re wearing. SAR systems are the only systems that should be used by the sprayer during high-pressure indoor foam applications. A low-pressure source would be an ambient pump (an air compressor designed specifically for respiratory protection applications) located in, or drawing air from, a clean environment.

Low-pressure fresh air systems provide all of the benefits of other air systems, but with less hassle and maintenance. There is no calibration required, and you don’t need a large compressor, which makes this the most convenient system available. For those looking for a smaller investment for their fresh air system, the low-pressure fresh air systems are for you.

Brands Available:

  • Bullard
  • Allegro

Safety note: Air pumps must be placed in a fresh air zone. Follow the scheduled maintenance for filter change to ensure that your product is working correctly.

A high-pressure supply source would be either a cylinder or “cascaded” cylinders of breathing air or the compressed air supply within a facility/spray foam rig as long as it is filtered and monitored to ensure it meets OSHA’s purity requirements for breathing air.

If you want the most complete fresh air system, a high-pressure system is what you are looking for. These systems are usually mounted in the trailer or come in a pelican carry case, and they require a compressor large enough to supply the proper flow and pressure to the system. The longer hose length, better cooling options, and reduced setup time make this the most efficient system available.

Brands Available:

  • Bullard
  • Allegro

Safety note: Air pumps must be placed in a fresh air zone. Follow the scheduled maintenance for filter change to ensure that your product is working correctly.

PAPR Respirators

Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) come in the form of a hood or a full-face mask. The hood or mask filters out pathogens and pollutants and delivers clean air to the user. Filters must be changed out with the same frequency as cartridge respirators, and the system should be rated for Hazardous Locations (HL).

Brands Available:

  • Bullard

Safety note: It should be noted that the cartridge respirators and the PAPR systems are not to be used by the sprayer during high-pressure indoor foam applications.
