Rockwool AFB is a lightweight, stone wool acoustical fire batt insulation specifically designed for steel stud and wood stud interior wall and floor applications. AFB combines the benefits of fire resistance, sound absorption and durability together into a unique insulation product that will add value to your assemblies. Fire Resistance

AFB is non-combustible, can withstand temperatures up to 2,150°F and will not develop toxic smoke or promote flame spread, even when directly exposed to fire. AFB has the lowest possible flame spread/smoke development index of 0/0 when tested in accordance with ASTM E84.

AFB is a key component of several UL and Intertek listed fire partitions and is available in a number of different thicknesses to meet the needs of your project for both new construction and renovation.
