Designed for high-R-value applications, AccuVent high energy accommodates thicker insulation in roofs with raised-heel trusses that are designed to increase energy efficiency. AccuVent high energy is identical to the original AccuVent system apart from one key feature: AccuVent High Energy offers a longer vertical element that runs along the roof decking. It is typically used for shallow roof pitches in cold climates where high R values and thick insulation are required.
