IDI Distributors Names Chris Novogratz President
CHANHASSEN, Minn., Tuesday, March 12, 2019 — IDI Distributors, a national leader in residential and commercial insulation distribution based in Chanhassen, Minn., is celebrating its 40th year in business. IDI is pleased to announce that Chris Novogratz – son of IDI founder Joseph Novogratz – has formally assumed the role of President of the company as of January.
IDI was founded in 1979 and has grown to a national footprint with over 50 continental U.S. distribution centers. IDI has 450 employees and a network of 3,000 independent insulation contractors.
The founding principle of the business was to provide superior products, training, and support that allows insulation contractors to succeed. Forty years later, Joe Novogratz said, “Chris has been at my side for 23 years and has continually taken on additional responsibilities and helped propel the business’s growth.” Joe will continue to serve as CEO.
Chris Novogratz said he’s honored to continue his father’s work, “I welcome this opportunity and look forward to an expanded leadership role as we all work together toward future growth.”
Joe Novogratz added that, 40 years ago, he couldn’t have imagined the size and level of success IDI would achieve. “It’s unbelievable,” he said. “I sincerely want to thank every person whose hard work and loyalty helped build the business over these many years.”
